At Kanaz Forest of Creation (Awara City, Fukui Prefecture), the exhibition “YANASE Takashi – the world of Anpanman and fairy tale -” is currently taking place.
This exhibition was planned to commemorate the 10 years of sister cities engagement between Awara City and Komi City in Kochi Prefecture (YANASE’s hometown) and the 20th anniversary of the museum.
At the exhibition, about 100 works by YANASE are exhibited. Including masterpiece work “Anpanman” picture book original, acrylic painting, cover original of “Poetry And Fairy Tale” edited by him, original poetry collection of later years and so on.
The exhibition room “Art Core museum – 1” is divided into 3 zones. As a work named after the sister cities, 5 original paintings of “Anpanman Road Running to the Sun” commemorating the 120th anniversary of Kanazu Elementary School (Awara City, Fukui Prefecture) are also displayed.
ITO Yoshiko, an exhibition staff member, said, “Although Anpanman is a masterpiece of YANASE, his world is not the only one. Please feel the depth of his expression. I’m glad that you can have a conversation after watching.”
The opening hours are from 10 am to 5 pm (admission is until 4:30 pm). Admission fee is general = 800 JPY, middle / high student = 600 JPY, 3 years old ~ elementary school student = 400 JPY. Closed on Mondays (in the case of a holiday, the next day). Until October 8th.
